Head of Compensation and Benefits (m/f/d)

Our client, an established and successful bank, is looking for a motivated person for the position of Head of Compensation and Benefits.    

Main responsibilities:

  • Lead a team tasked with overseeing employee compensation, benefits, and HR analytics, including payroll processes.

  • Oversee employee incentive programs, including bonuses and stock options, to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.

  • Ensure adherence to European Central Bank (ECB) and Croatian National Bank (CNB) regulations concerning compensation and benefits.

  • Develop and execute strategies for precise staff cost forecasting and budgeting in line with organizational goals.

  • Design and implement competitive compensation and benefits packages to attract and retain top talent.

  • Conduct market analysis to benchmark the bank’s offerings, recommending adjustments for competitiveness.

  • Collaborate with HR to align compensation strategies with business objectives and financial goals.

  • Serve as a primary liaison for compensation and benefits matters, offering guidance across the organization.

  • Partner with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to labor laws, data privacy, and reporting requirements.



Required skills, knowledge and experience:

  • Master's or bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in compensation and benefits area

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in project and/or people management

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to interpret data and trends to make informed decisions

  • Advanced proficiency in spoken and written English

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office suite, with emphasis on MS Excel; knowledge of Power BI is an advantage
