Our client, SDA Croatia, is part of the international company Lagardère Travel Retail, which is one of the leading global companies in travel retail, thanks to its unique sales approach and premium product range. SDA Croatia manages the Aelia Duty Free Shop and The Fashion Place stores at Zagreb International Airport.
They are currently looking for a motivated and innovative person to join the team in the position of:
 
Director of Sales Operations (m/f/d)

​​​​​​​Main responsibilities:
  • Proposing and creating short-term and long-term strategic plans for procurement and sales activities to increase sales, enhance profitability, and create a unique shopping experience for travelers at Zagreb International Airport
  • Developing and managing the Sales Operations budget, overseeing labor, inventory, and equipment costs
  • Organizing, coordinating, and supervising activities between stores, warehouses, commercial operations, and the human resources department to achieve sales targets
  • Developing and implementing business processes and procedures to ensure efficient and consistently excellent customer service, focusing on improving operational efficiency and reducing costs
  • Monitoring market trends, price movements, changes in demand for goods, and passenger demographics to identify new sales opportunities and adjust sales strategies
  • Tracking, analyzing, and reporting on procurement and sales daily, weekly, monthly, and annually, providing suggestions to improve the sales assortment
  • Participating in creating marketing plans and defining promotional channels
  • Managing and coordinating daily store operations and product category management tasks, including inventory management, order processing, and ensuring adequate stock levels to maximize sales potential
  • Managing and overseeing warehouse operations, monitoring inventory levels in stores and warehouses, and managing inventory optimally
  • Developing and implementing operational processes and procedures to improve efficiency
  • Participating in hiring, training, motivating, and evaluating performance of employees
  • Applying the relevant regulations of the Republic of Croatia and the European Union, as well as the company's internal policies
  • Implementing occupational safety measures in the department
Required skills, knowledge and experience:
  • Master’s degree, MBA is an advantage
  • Minimum of 5 years in sales positions
  • Leadership Experience
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • A proactive, creative, and innovative approach
  • Advanced verbal and written communications skills in English
  • Proficiency in MS office
