We are currently seeking a proactive and motivated professional to join their team in the position of:
Electrical Design Engineer (m/f/d)
Location: Zagreb and Split
Main responsibilities:
- Reviews and analyzes customer specifications and compares them with internal technical standards, coordinating deviations with the responsible Lead Engineer
- Designs and dimensions electrical assemblies and systems in accordance with project specifications and engineering standards
- Performs electrical calculations (load flow, short-circuit, cable sizing, protection coordination) to support E-BOP system design for power unit auxiliaries and plant infrastructure
- Creates and maintains 3D models, detailed drawings, and bills of materials using engineering tools and CAD systems
- Supports design reviews and contributes to the evaluation and optimization of technical solutions
- Coordinates interfaces with Mechanical BOP (M-BOP) and Automation (AUT) teams to ensure consistent, integrated plant design
- Assists in procurement and manufacturing processes by providing engineering input and clarifying technical requirements
- Identifies potential bottlenecks, communicates risks, and coordinates solutions with project management and Lead Engineers
- Implements and manages technical changes in a structured manner, ensuring proper documentation and alignment with project requirements
Required skills, knowledge and experience:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable technical field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar engineering or design role
- Experience with engineering tools such as 3D CAD systems, EPLAN, ETAP or comparable software
- Strong technical understanding of design processes and engineering standards
- Structured, self-driven, and solution-oriented working approach
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across functions
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
