We are currently seeking a proactive and motivated professional to join their team in the position of:      

Head of Operational Procurement EMEA (m/f/d)

Location: Split or Tuzla

Main responsibilities:

    • Leads and further develops the Operational Procurement Organization in EMEA, comprising approximately 45 employees across 3 teams at seven locations, as well as provides line management for a procurement team
    • Ensures on-time, cost-efficient, and quality-compliant material supply for projects and manufacturing sites within an international EPC business environment
    • Harmonizes and continuously optimizes operational procurement processes across all EMEA locations
    • Actively shapes the ongoing supply chain transformation by developing and implementing new organizational structures, processes, and governance models
    • Builds and further develops the Competence Centers in Split and Tuzla as integral components of the future procurement organization
    • Introduces and leverages modern KPI systems, dashboards, and digital tools to enhance transparency, performance, and productivity
    • Collaborates closely with Engineering, Project Management, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Strategic Procurement to ensure integrated supply chain performance
    • Establishes best practices, governance structures, and standards to improve efficiency, delivery performance, and data quality
    • Identifies and realizeas opportunities for simplification, standardization, and digitalization of operational procurement processes

Required skills, knowledge, and experience:

  • Degree in engineering or a comparable technical field
  • Several years of professional and leadership experience in procurement within an internationally operating industrial, manufacturing, or plant engineering company
  • Solid knowledge of the EPC environment and project-driven business in the plant engineering or mechanical engineering industry
  • Strong technical understanding combined with in-depth expertise in operational procurement and supply chain processes
  • Proven experience in leading organizational transformation, process harmonization, standardization, and digitalization initiatives
  • Strong assertiveness combined with excellent teamwork and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent analytical and conceptual skills combined with a pragmatic, hands-on, and execution-oriented mindset
  • Experience in establishing and developing Shared Service Centers or Competence Centers is an advantage
  • Proficiency in SAP, reporting and business intelligence solutions, as well as modern digital tools
  • Fluent English language skills, written and spoken
