Supply Chain Quality Manager (m/f/d)

Main responsibilities:
- Ensures governance by conducting process audits, verifications, and data analyses to confirm quality integration within operational processes
- Manages supplier quality performance through KPI monitoring, initiates corrective actions, and controls supplier approval status, including supplier blocking and release decisions
- Monitors supplier certifications and ensures compliance with applicable quality standards and requirements
- Plans and coordinates inspections and Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) at supplier sites and reports inspection outcomes to project quality teams
- Supports sourcing strategies and project schedules by integrating relevant quality requirements and ensures alignment with project objectives
- Participates in key supplier meetings, including Kick-off Meetings, and provides quality-related input through audits and data-driven assessments
- Drives preventive quality activities, including PFMEAs, and follows up on supplier development and improvement measures
- Contributes to continuous improvement initiatives by capturing lessons learned and implementing enhancements within the quality management system
- Supports cost optimization initiatives, including OPEX and Lean programs, while ensuring that quality requirements are embedded within procurement activities
- Provides flexible support to broader quality department priorities in alignment with regional quality leadership objectives
Required skills, knowledge and experience:
- Degree in engineering or a comparable technical field
- Proven experience in Quality Management, Quality Engineering, and Supplier Quality Management
- Strong understanding of cross-functional business processes, including manufacturing, logistics, engineering, purchasing, construction, and commissioning
- Auditor qualification according to ISO 19011; Lead Auditor certification is an advantage
- Technical expertise in testing methods (e.g., electrical, dimensional, NDT) and processing technologies (e.g., casting, forging, machining, welding, assembly)
- Practical experience with IT tools such as SAP, SharePoint, MS Office, and database-based tracking systems
- Background in lean management and continuous improvement methodologies is an advantage
- Strong analytical, solution-oriented, and customer-focused mindset with a pragmatic approach
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including presentation and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
- Willingness to travel internationally
