For our client, ROS Croatia Management, an international group developing and managing shopping centers in EU countries, we are looking for a proactive and motivated professional to manage their day-to-day financial operations in the position of:

Financial Controller (m/f/d)

Location: Zagreb (Rugvica)

This person is responsible for managing the centre’s finance and accounting operations in collaboration with senior management and investors for three markets – Croatia, Belgium and Portugal. This role ensures smooth financial processes, accurate reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance with accounting and tax requirements.

Main responsibilities:

  • Coordinating and managing the centre’s finance and accounting operations, working closely with senior leadership
  • In collaboration with the Finance and Centre Manager, providing clear guidelines for accounting, approval and payment for the various departments
  • Developing and managing financial reports including budget monitoring and ad-hoc analyses
  • Elaborating monthly and quarterly reports for the Finance and Centre Manager
  • Supporting the yearly charge reconciliation and the rental invoicing including turnover rent calculation
  • Proactively seeking opportunities and ensuring the centers are operating as cost-effectively as possible
  • Providing financial insights and recommendations to executive leadership

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in economics or equivalent
  •  2-5 years of experience in a similar role

  • Strong accounting knowledge

  • Ability to multitask and work independently

  • Efficient, adaptable and a strong communicator

  • Initiative and strong analytical skills

  • Proficiency in finance and accounting software

  • Strong command of MS office (especially Excel)

  • Fluency in English
