For Looping Group, a leading European operator of leisure and water parks, we are currently seeking a proactive and adaptable Financial Controller to support the operations of its two largest and most popular water parks in Croatia, Aquapark Istralandia and Aquapark Aquacolors.
Financial Controller (m/f/d)
Location: Novigrad / Poreč
Financial Controller works closely with local management, manage day-to-day financial operations and plays an essential role in performance monitoring, risk control, and supporting operational and strategic decision-making.
Main responsibilities:
- Support budgeting and forecasting with local managers
- Analyze performance and variances and revenue developments
- Prepare operational and financial reports
- Drive synergies across local companies, and support CAPEX and software implementation projects
- Ensure compliance with legal standards and Group procedures, identify and mitigate key risks
- Monitor daily cash operations, manage petty cash and deposits, and ensure completeness and accuracy of customer invoicing
- Does monthly controls and reconciliation
- Coordinates with auditors
Required skills, knowledge, and experience:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in economics or equivalent
- 2-3 years of experience in a similar role or in an audit firm
- A good understanding of accounting principles is not essential but is highly valued
- A strong interest in data and automation is a valuable asset
- Ability to multitask and work independently
- Efficient, adaptable and a strong communicator
- Initiative and strong analytical and synthesis skills
- Proficiency in finance and accounting software
- Strong command of MS office (especially Excel)
- Fluency in English
