The American Chamber of Commerce in Croatia is looking for a proactive and organized person for the position of:
Marketing Specialist (m/f/d)
Location: Zagreb
Marketing Specialist is responsible for managing a wide range of AmCham corporate event, marketing and communication activities. This includes concept development of AmCham’s numerous events as well as managing corporate sponsorships and advertising sales. In addition, it includes preparing marketing material for events; digital and print publications; managing corporate communications and branding; managing media relations, social media; and keeping the website up to date.
Main responsibilities:
- Planning, organizing, and implementing AmCham events with a high level of independence, including selecting venues, vendors, speakers and other stakeholders
- Overseeing all aspects of event logistics and execution, including budgeting, scheduling, managing invitations, engaging attendees, and conducting post-event follow-ups
- Ensuring effective communication and coordination across teams and projects, prioritizing clarity, precision, and the accuracy of information
- Developing and managing strategic sponsorship and advertising partnerships
- Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, members, public interest groups, and partners to strengthen AmCham’s network and influence
- Leading and executing brand strategy while ensuring that event messaging is aligned with AmCham’s positions and communication goals
- Creating and managing content for social media, digital platforms, and print publications, ensuring consistent and wide-reaching messaging
- Developing and executing integrated communication campaigns across digital and traditional channels to maximize visibility and engagement
Required skills, knowledge and experience:
- University degree in marketing or related field
- The ideal candidate will have between 2-5 years of professional experience
- Work experience and proven interest in Croatian economy/Business landscape
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Croatian
- Strong organizational, time management, prioritization and administrative skills
- Excellent copywriting and editing skills, with experience in digital communications and social media
- Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of effectively engaging with various stakeholders, including high-level business executives and government officials
- Strong presentation, facilitation and public speaking skills
- Strong project and budget management skills, complemented by strong negotiation abilities
- Highly logical and detail-oriented, demonstrating autonomy and initiative
- Excel in a collaborative and dynamic small team environment
- High level of computer literacy
