Our client, a Croatian subsidiary of a German company with over 100 employees in Croatia, is seeking a proactive and hands-on professional to join their team in the role of:
Head of Ecommerce (m/f/d)
Location: Zagreb
Head of Ecommerce is responsible for establishing new revenue streams, developing and executing data-driven strategies, and driving qualified traffic to the digital platform. This role also includes fostering strong relationships with existing clients while actively identifying and establishing new strategic partnerships to support long-term business growth.
Main responsibilities:
- Leading the establishment, implementation, and continuous development of a B2B e-commerce platform and its strategic direction in alignment with company goals
- Building and later on managing a high-performing e-commerce team to ensure operational excellence
- Overseeing budget planning and executing multi-channel B2B e-commerce marketing campaigns
- Analyzing web traffic and customer data regularly to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for improvement
- Optimizing the e-commerce platform, including product assortment, pricing strategies, promotional activities, and product presentation, to enhance user experience
- Fostering and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential clients to disccover new business opportunities and understand their evolving needs
- Negotiating and closing sales opportunities to meet and exceed revenue targets
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions and sales activities within the CRM system
- Collaborating with the sales team to develop customized proposals and solutions tailored to client needs
Required skills, knowledge and experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, e-commerce, or a related field
- 5– 10 years of experience on same or similar roles
- Proven experience in e-commerce management, preferably in a retail or consumer goods industry
- Strong knowledge of e-commerce platforms, content management systems (CMS), and digital marketing tools
- Proficient in web analytics tools such as Google Analytics or similar platforms
- Familiarity with SEO, SEM, email marketing, and social media advertising
- Excellent communication skills of both English and Croatian
- Knowledge of German is an advantage
- Ambitious and positive attitude, persistence, responsibility, and results-oriented mindset
- Proven success in developing and implementing new solutions
